Longitude 131*.  Northern Territory, Australia.

You know I’m a sucker for a glamorous tent…next to the hallowed Aboriginal site of Uluru, this is a spectacular kind of camping.

About $1350/night.  A mere $150 more expensive than an overwater bungalow in Fiji!

Free Spirit Spheres.  Vancouver Island, Canada.

Kinda like gigantic wooden eyeballs in the middle of the forest, or massive ornaments bubbling from the trees.  Super cool, but the people in charge seem a weeee hokey and are really, really into sphere ‘culture’.  For a mere $150,000 you can take home your very own sphere kit to hang in your backyard.  Aw, bless.

$125-190/night depending on what sphere you choose.

Treehotel. Sweden (cont. from previous post)

It’s officially opened!  Besides the Mirror Cube, there is one that is UFO’ish, one that may be made of red leggos, and a nest for Where the Wild Things Are.

From $500-700/night.

Rolling Huts.  Methow Valley, Washington.

Another fabulous glamping option:  Six simply cool huts that are grouped together in a ‘herd’.   With mega casters beneath them, I wonder if they moooooove.  *har har*

From $95-110/night.

Kerala, India.
The traditional hull of a rice barge is blended with contemporary tropical architecture, creating the space for an air-conditioned suite. The sundeck above becomes your grandstand as the fascinating life along the waterfront passes by.

Hong Kong Island.

I love antlers.  Especially used as centerpieces.  Skulls, too.  This apartment is recently renovated and has been featured on the cover of numerous Design Magazines.

Large & light-filled, designer open floor plan (750 sqf), fully furnished, with ultra-modern, open kitchen , available for short-term rent (minimum 5 nights, maximum 3 months).  And you simply cannot beat $150/night for all that design porn.
